The vintage poster was created in 1930 by Zig (Louis Gaudin). The lithograph was recreated using the same hand pulled process on a vintage press in 2001.
Signing his work as “Zig,” louis Gaudin is best known for his posters for night life. He began his career in the United States, designing the costumes for Broadway musicals, he later was a frequent client of Parisian fashion boutiques. During the period 1926-1932, Zig created many posters and journal covers featuring Josephine Baker and Mistinguett for the Casino de Paris.
