Description
In 896, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec was commissioned by Le Salon des Cent to create a poster for its exhibition. In addition to publicizing their permanent, constantly changing exhibition of it’s members works, The Salon built up a huge collection of original posters from many countries, and acted as both wholesaler and retailer of these works. The collection included all of Alphonse Mucha‘s posters and paintings, and many by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
The lithograph was recreated using the same hand pulled process on a vintage press in 1997 by renown chromist, Jean Pierre Remond.
