Description

Toulouse-Lautrec was a regular patron of Parisian cabaret, the Moulin Rouge.  His study of social culture is prevalent throughout his work and was hired to create advertisements for the many of  nightclubs of montmarte the ballrooms throughout Montparnasse .  Along with Edgar Dega and Edouard Manet, he left us with a beautiful chronicle of the Parisian turn of the century nightlife.  Originally created in 1896, this poster captures the energy and frivolity of the a chorus line performing the can-can.

The lithograph was recreated using the same hand pulled  process on a vintage press in 1999 by renown chromist, Jean Pierre Remond. Includes certificate of authenticity.
